To educate and encourage student-parents to succeed in life by developing the skills needed to reach their full potential as well as providing quality childcare and education for infants and toddlers while their parents attend school.
Teen Parents Succeeding was founded in 1991 to preempt the devastating impact of teen pregnancy in our community through promoting the education of teen parents, their children, and their extended families. Our founding objective was to provide affordable childcare so student-parents could finish high school. Today, our programming promotes a much broader range of educational opportunities for our students including life skills learning, work experience, and post-secondary educational support.
Our programs are based on the 40 Developmental Assets from the Search Institute and are designed to equip our students with the skills and support they need to care for themselves and their children and overcome the barriers faced by teen parents.
Teen Parents Succeeding serves students in the Wawasee Community School Corporation which includes the communities of Syracuse, Milford, and North Webster, Indiana. Our organization is governed by a Board of Directors and staffed by an executive director and childcare professionals along with screened volunteers.

Nationally, only 30% of teen moms graduate from high school. Since 1991, over 75% of the students enrolled in Teen Parents Succeeding have graduated.
“It is my belief that Teen Parents Succeeding has saved countless dropouts by providing the network and support that many other communities' teen parents lack. Teen Parents Succeeding makes my job easier, and it allows our teen moms to achieve the successes they deserve”.

Director of the Wawasee Academy
